EOSL & TPM Services
End-of-service-life and third-party maintenance for IT infrastructures
CND continues to operate IT systems safely, stably and economically even after the official end-of-service-life (EOSL). When the manufacturer discontinues support, risks arise, but so does room to manoeuvre. We shape this transition in a structured way: with a clear inventory, targeted spare parts supply and vendor-independent maintenance. Third-party maintenance (TPM) is not a stopgap here but an option with a strategy. Many systems are technically flawless and continue to run reliably for years under controlled conditions, at a fraction of the cost of a manufacturer contract. Together with the customer, we assess which systems are suitable for TPM and take over their support. At CND, EOSL & TPM is part of asset management, spare part handling and Data Center Services, as part of an end-to-end lifecycle approach that protects investments and creates planning certainty.

Our Services
As part of EOSL & TPM Services, we support among other things with:
- Identification and assessment of EOSL systems in the customer environment
- Consulting on TPM suitability and risk assessment of individual systems and components
- Organisation and assurance of spare parts supply for EOSL hardware
- Coordination of third-party maintenance services with qualified service partners
- Structured handover and documentation for a planned system change or decommissioning
- Support with planning refresh and migration scenarios in the EOSL context
- Integration into existing asset management and ITSM processes
Your benefit
Cost control: significantly lower maintenance costs than with manufacturer contracts, with the same operational reliability
Planning certainty: a clear overview of EOSL dates and timely preparation for transitions
Investment protection: extension of the useful life of functional systems without loss of quality
Vendor independence: flexible operating models without being tied to manufacturer roadmaps or support cycles
Swiss quality: structured processes, qualified partners and clear responsibilities to Swiss standards
Typical use cases
Continued operation of server, storage or network systems after manufacturer support has expired
Bridging until the planned migration or system renewal
Cost optimisation in ongoing operation by replacing expensive OEM maintenance contracts
Emergency supply of spare parts for critical systems without active manufacturer support
Support of structured decommissioning with documented handover and data erasure
Why CND
CND brings technical know-how from enterprise operations and structured logistics and lifecycle expertise, for an EOSL transition that is plannable, safe and economical.
We assess soberly which systems are suitable for TPM and support the process with clear recommendations, without manufacturer interests and without offshoring.
Our employees work in Switzerland. Assessments, processes and service coordination remain local, traceable and under Swiss control. For us, digital sovereignty also means staying capable of acting independently of international manufacturer cycles.
