Availability for critical EOSL systems

A direct replacement was not possible. At the same time, the replacement was already planned and had to be implemented step by step. The systems had to continue to be operated reliably during this transition phase.

The challenge consisted of keeping productive systems available while they were being migrated, replaced or decommissioned in parallel. Manufacturer support was partly limited, while the requirements for stability remained unchanged high.

CND took over operational running and, with specialised telco engineers, ensured continuous 24x7 operation. The focus was on stabilisation, targeted interventions and the controlled implementation of changes in the live system.

A key part of the work consisted of keeping systems running that were no longer strategic but operationally indispensable. CND ensured that these platforms could be operated stably until their functions were fully transferred into new target environments.

Operation could be ensured without interruption throughout the entire transition phase. Risks were reduced and the migration implemented in a controlled manner.

The services described here are part of our  Managed IT Services for Telecommunications and show how monitoring, operation and support can be combined into stable and traceable overall operation.

CND brings strength exactly where companies need stability in complex transition phases. In the case of Salt Mobile, this meant: robust round-the-clock operation, technical relief for the organisation, controlled risk reduction and a reliable bridge between the existing platform and the future target architecture.
