At the center was the development towards robust, high-availability architecture. Using cluster technologies and horizontally scalable server concepts, the platform could be geared in a targeted way towards higher availability, better load distribution and improved operational manageability.
CND took on both the technical optimization and operational running. A key part of the mandate, however, lay in the structured knowledge build-up around the platform. The goal was to enable the teams involved to better understand and independently manage architecture, dependencies and operational processes.
For this, existing documentation was consolidated, content restructured and transferred into a robust operational foundation. An end-to-end operations manual was created as well as a best-practice knowledge base, which simplified ongoing operation and increased traceability.
The platform could be operated more stably, changes implemented more controllably and incidents handled more efficiently. At the same time, the foundation was created to develop the infrastructure further in the long term, without losing knowledge.
The services described here are part of our Managed IT Services for Industry and Technology and show how complex SAP platforms can be developed further technologically and organizationally in a sustainable way.
CND combines infrastructure engineering with operational experience and structured knowledge build-up. For the energy group, this meant: not only stabilizing the SAP platform but also laying the organizational foundation for permanently secure operation.
