Stable operation and structured monitoring for a private banking platform

For Investec Bank (Switzerland) AG, CND has operated central systems in the environment of the core applications for several years. The starting point was the outsourcing of the operation of the Unix/Solaris-based infrastructure to relieve internal resources in a targeted way and at the same time increase operational stability.

A key step was the introduction of an end-to-end monitoring and alerting concept. Together with the bank's system specialists, CND developed a solution that detects faults early and automatically forwards them to the responsible engineers. The integration into the incident management system enables structured and fast handling of critical events.

In parallel, CND supported the ongoing operation of the platform. In close coordination with the bank and the software supplier, complete operational documentation was created, which serves as a basis for changes, patch and release management. This allows adjustments to be implemented reproducibly, in a controlled manner and without risk.

A further part of the service lies in the area of licence management and logistics. CND ensures that replacement components are available and up to date. Pre-configured systems are partly kept ready in order to be able to react quickly in the event of a fault.

Via the 24/7 hotline, incidents are received, prioritised and handled within defined SLA times. The result is an operating model that enables both stability and flexibility in dealing with changing requirements.
